Jackson's Fly-In Outposts


The majority of our fly-in Outpost Camps are located on the famous Gammon, Bloodvein, Leyond and Sasaginnigak River Systems, right in the heart of Atikaki Wilderness Provincial Park, while the Echo Lake Outpost is located in the beautiful Whiteshell Provincial Park.

For the enthusiastic fisherman, our lakes provide an unbelievable abundance of Walleyes, Northern Pike, Yellow Perch and Catfish. The flight into camp is an exciting experience on its own, as you fly over hundreds of unspoiled lakes, fast-flowing rivers and quiet, trickling streams accented with wildlife and waterfowl.

You will be flown in by a Dehaviland DHC-3 Turbine Otter aircraft, which is well maintained and undergoes regular government inspections.


BOAT CACHES

Jackson’s Lodge and Outposts operate seven boat caches in Whiteshell Provincial Park as well as one in Atikaki Wilderness Provincial Park. For those who enjoy camping to the fullest, please find the following lakes that we service:.

• BOON LAKE: primarily northern pike fishing/ one boat and motor
• BEAUCHMIN LAKE: filled with trophy walleye and northern pike/ two boats and motors
• ECHO LAKE: productive walleye, northern pike and small mouth bass/ ten boats and motors
• FORBES: excellent lake trout fishing/ four boats and motors
• SADDLE LAKE: healthy walleye, northerns and smallmouth bass/ six boats and motors
• SIDE SADDLE: a private setting with big walleye and northern pike/ two boats and motors
• SODDEN LAKE: walleye and northern pike, located in Atikaki/ one boat and motor

Tent Camps

A tent camp is a large tent-like structure that sleeps up to six people. It has plywood walls and floor with a canvas roof. These facilities have bunk beds, propane stove and picnic table. The airfare to each of these locations is additional.

A trip to one of Jackson’s Outpost Cabins includes:

• Cabins range from fully modern to pleasantly rustic and are fully equipped for light housekeeping including dishes, pots, pans and cutlery etc.
• Furnished with propane stoves and BBQ.
• Propane fridges and some have 5 cubic foot propane deep freezers.
• Wood-burning stoves for heat.
• Comfortable bunks and mattresses (bedding not supplied).
• Hot and cold running water and showers.
• Toilet facilities are outdoors.
• Heavy-duty Lund or Alumarine 14ft. boats with 15hp, 9.9 hp, or 8 hp motors, including gas, swivel seats, paddles, dip nets and lifejackets.
• Grocery packages can be arranged for your convenience.

Overweight will cost you!

Maximum weight restriction is 125 lbs per person. Excess baggage is charged $1.50 U.S. per pound on a “space available” basis only. Due to the extremely high cost of flying, this policy must be strictly enforced.
