Eardley Lake boasts numerous islands and reefs; an endless variety of structure that provides habitat and forage for fierce trophy Northern and tasty Walleye in quantities that will test your angling endurance. Eardley is an east-west oriented lake that is intersected about mid-point by the Assinika River. The highly oxygenated water spawns healthy schools of bait fish and fosters the growth of lush underwater cover that the fishery thrives on. To say this lake has a healthy fish supply would be an understatement.
In July, 2000, a group of 8 anglers from the Fenlon party caught and recorded 2,994 fish — in one week! It’s an astounding number of fish for most to comprehend, but for those of us who are familiar with our lakes, more than believable. This is what you always imagined an outpost adventure would be. Walleye average 18″-24″ (46-61cm) in this area, and Northern Pike average 27″-40″ (69-102cm), with many master anglers. You cannot get to another lake from Eardley, but you can fish the Assinika River.
