Kathy’s Lake

Kathy’s Lake is an excellent Walleye lake where the catches average 18-24″ (46-61 cm). Trophy Walleyes and Northern Nike are also present. The lake is two miles wide and six miles long. The cabin is located on a island in the center of the lake. Average depths are ten to fifteen feet with some deeper areas. The fishing on Kathy’s Lake has been strictly limited since 1990 yielding an excellent stock of game fish. The largest northern caught so far weighing in at an arm bending thirty-three pounds. Kathy’s Lake is the headwater source of the Assinka River system that flows into Meat Lake. Walleye here average 18″-24″ (46-61cm) and Northern Pike average 27″-37″ (69-92cm), with many master anglers.

Cabin Details

The camp is located on a point at the center of the lake with eastern exposure, and we are the only outfitter on the lake. This is a one bedroom cabin that can accommodate six people. It is a frame cabin with screen porch, hot & cold running water, indoor shower and toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped with all pots, pans, etc, electric fridge and gas stove. There is a propane BBQ and propane fish cooker available, as well as a large combination fridge/freezer in the kitchen, but no chest freezer. The site has solar power electicity (110 volt) and a gas generator for backup power. There is a wood stove for heat with ample firewood provided.

Boats/Motors

The outcamp has three 14′ Lund boats with swivel seats & 8 h.p. motors. We supply life cushions & jackets (large & extra large only), landing nets, anchors, paddles and mixed gas.
